The Dreamer. | Portrait Photographer |

One of my greatest inspirations as a photographer is childhood.  The magic, the mystery…the freedom to believe in things unseen.  Imaginary worlds and places far away.  Our minds are free to dream up the impossible…not yet tied down by the rules and regulations of reality.  I think that is why I am so attracted to out of focus shots (yes, these shots are that way on purpose) because it conveys an element of another world…a dreamlike quality.  I feel like I am chasing that feeling as a photographer…to hold onto my own childhood just a little bit longer.

Jess,
These photos are incredible. The out of focus nature of the photos allows us to insert ourselves or our loved ones into the same photo–brings back memories of our childhoods and allows them to relive them and cherish them all over again.
Exquisite.
