Mine on Monday | Minneapolis Child Photographer |

I finally got around to taking her pictures.  We drove past this field the other day and I about drove off the road!  It is the most stunning spot…so much so we went home and threw an outfit together and drove straight back.  These might be some of my favorite photographs I have ever taken…

stunning!

Stacey Montgomery - July 18, 2011 - 9:46 pm

What an incredible attitude you have. Instead of being bitter and questioning the path God has you on, you have an amazing heart of gratitude. I’m so sorry to hear that your adoption journey has ended. But it’s obvious that you have an amazing little family and I just know He has great plans for you all.

And the photos, gorgeous.

stephanie - July 14, 2011 - 12:47 am

holy crap! that first shot is to die for! they are all amazing. truly.

Patricia - July 13, 2011 - 9:42 pm

Pink boots and sun rays. Sweet expressions that do reveal her as strong and shy.
I am sorry to hear about your quest hitting such a roadblock that doesn’t seem to make any sense to you as a family wanting to make a home for a child who has none. wishing you more beauty to ease that disappointment.

beanski - July 13, 2011 - 7:15 pm

I’m a bit of a stalker and not much of a commenter but these pictures are breath-taking. Extraordinary. She’s absolutely beautiful.

Jill Natgan - July 12, 2011 - 6:09 pm

All amazing, lover her expressions. The cabbage patch doll on her shoulders with her hair hanging over her face is the KICKER!

Kristy Wigginton - July 12, 2011 - 4:02 pm

The pictures are great! I can’t believe how much she has grown. She looks so tall. I completely understand the multitude of emotions. We, too, have ended our adoption journey. Unless God brings a child to our doorstep we will be a family of two. But God has also provided such great contentment and satisfaction in Him! I can’t explain it other than His grace. For me, the key is being THANKFUL for whatever and wherever! Keep snapping that camera! I love checking your site and seeing new pics!

Jennifer - July 12, 2011 - 3:19 am

Emily - July 11, 2011 - 7:54 pm

um, beautiful. So sorry to hear about the adoption. You, me, and Emily are now the banded brood of three… if we only knew where life was going to be taking us. I guess at this point I have to believe it is all about the journey.

stacy - July 11, 2011 - 3:23 pm

Sometimes I just need to shoot for me.  I love photographing my clients…don’t get me wrong.  But even though I am having fun…it is still work .  When I shoot for myself I can be wild and uninhibited.  Break all the rules and not care.  The only one I have to please is myself and…
