Last week I went to Durham, NC to shoot a wedding with Emily (more on that later). I had just enough time to squeeze in a session with this special little girl. Now all my clients are special
but this peanut is extra special because she has a shared history with my daughter. Not only was she born in Vietnam…she lived the first few months of her life in the same orphanage as my daughter. I have known her mom online since the beginning of our adoption process 4 years ago…so it was amazing to finally get to meet this family in person. Little Mallory was feisty (she has 3 big brothers at home) and so much fun to shoot. I also have decided I may need to move to North Carolina because I want to take more photographs in that soft and buttery light and gorgeous landscape, breathtaking!!! At the very least, I hope to go back and visit soon!

I love this last one…I asked Mallory to show me her serious face![]()
