That is how I feel about this session.  I have been photographing sweet Hakan since he was 5 days old…and I grow so attached to my newborn package clients.  Witnessing and documenting those first year milestones is an honor and a priviledge.  And.  Sometimes I get a bit clingy.  So last night as I took Hakan’s 1 year photos I was again taken aback at what 1 year can accomplish.  That little, tiny baby blossomed into a smart, handsome and sweet little boy in just 365 days.  How can this be so?  And yet.  It happens with all of us.  It’s happening now.  That is why photography means so much to me.  If my house was on fire…what would I grab (besides my family of course)?  My photographs.  My memories…those moments that won’t ever be again.

Ok.  Wow.  See?  This gets me all emotional!  Anyway.  This guy was as cute as ever…and exploring the world.  As I was looking over proofs to choose for this sneak peek…that is what spoke to me most.  The wonder of the world through the eyes of a 1 year old.  So that is why I chose these images…
