Anina 2012 | Minnesota Senior Portait Photographer |

Meet the ‘it girl.’  She is the reason I started shooting seniors in the first place.  They do not come ANY sweeter than Anina.  I admire her as a person and can’t wait to see the good she will do in the world.  And of course, I love photographing her…especially because she has the most…

Kristin 2012 | Twin Cities Senior Photographer |

Kristin and I met on a glorious evening for her senior portrait shoot.  She lives in my area and agreed to go on an adventure with me to some new spots I have been scoping out.  You know…I am a drive by photographer.  Always seeing places on the road that I want to stop at…

Camera Ready | Minneapolis Family Photographer |

So this little guy easily takes the award for the biggest smiles while looking at the camera.  I am not exaggerating…he is smiling in almost every shot AND looking at me!  Pretty impressive for a 10 month old.  I really enjoyed this family session…their love is so evident for each other and it clearly shows…

I’ve known this little guy since he was in his mommy’s tummy.  And now he’s 1 year old.  It amazes me how babies grow and change.  Like little delightful flowers.  How you’ve bloomed little boy!

I love them to death!
Thanks for everything. I know some people say I am crazy to get a photographer but I think how can you not want the best photographer because they are capturing the love and happiness of my family. These photos will be what I have of Leon from his baby days and I will always know I won’t regret them.

Patricia - August 9, 2011 - 8:09 pm

Jess — Sweet & beautiful interaction captured here. I bet in 10 years these will still accurately represent his personality. I really love the images that show the relationships — all in brilliant color. (I have to ask you more about your processing!!)
And the original baby image shows his skin so beautifully within the hand of a parent. I’m a big believer in baby sessions that show all the skin and the parents. None of the baby in bowls or hanging from trees fads or wrapped up so you can’t see the the tummy.♥ I know parents think they want those styles, but over time will want to remember kissing that round tummy more than that shabby chic bowl or basket. I guess capturing both styles is the best option.

The Swing/Beach/Tennis/Ice Cream Session | Minneapolis Child Photographer |

These are my sweet little nieces.  They were some of my first kids to photograph…ever!  This session was extra fun to shoot because my very talented sister in law (you can check out her blog HERE) put some real thought into planning what the girls would wear (and making 3 out of their 4 outfits…

These photographs have caused me to weep. For the obvious reasons: the girls, the clothes, the innocence, the inhibition and the stunning artistry of the photographer. I could drink these.

Jill - August 3, 2011 - 8:27 pm

I’m in love!

JoDee - August 3, 2011 - 6:12 pm

Beautiful work Jess! The clarity and color is really gorgeous.

Kathryn 2012 | Wayzata Senior Photographer |

Another gorgeous senior!  When I met Kathryn, her mom and sister for a little ‘coffee consultation’ a few days before her session and they brought photos of her outfits I knew we were a match made in heaven!  I am very much a type ‘A.’  I will plan every detail if possible.  So it was…
